London’s weather is rarely considered its best feature. However,
its poor reputation is not entirely fair. You just as likely to be
enjoying a long mellow Summer twilight or delighting
in a crisp Autumn afternoon as enduring a
drizzly wet day.
The truth is that the weather here is unpredictable.
You never know quite what you are going to get from one day to the
next. Londoners regularly take both their sunglasses and umbrellas
when they go out.
So we recommend that you do what the locals
do and layer up. Cardigans, fleeces, vests, scarves, gloves,
hats and boots all help you cope with the changeable conditions. Remember
to bring a coat if you are visiting in Autumn, Winter or early Spring.
You can find general information about typical
weather for each month from London

are available from BBC
